William Dillard VMI Confederate Civil War Soldier Parents Murder by Slaves Rare yankees Album is easily over 5Two original CDVs of William Terisha Dillard (1846 1898), one with a studio imprint of Van Ness of Lynchburg, Virginia the other has a blind stamp of Pollock, whose studio was in Baltimore, I believe. Dillard was pro slavery, attended VMI, and fought in the Civil War, VA infantry, where he was wounded in the head and arm. His father, General Dillard, was murdered by some of his slaves in an 1863 uprising. CDVs are about 4" x 2. 5" and are in good to
